Beaney is British designer (b.1991), based in South London. After studying Product Design at Salford University (2012), he spent five years training as a wood machinist. Having earned a MA in Design (Furniture) at Central Saint Martins in London, he has since set up Studio Workshop South (SWS) with fellow furniture designer Desmond Lim. SWS is a makers space set up for like minded designer/makers.

Beaney continues to investigate and develop his self-directed MA project, ‘Hidden in Plain Sight,’ which explores hidden compartments within contemporary furniture. He employs pragmatic attention to detail, creating textures and patterns within the making process. Each piece of furniture is made to the highest standard to ensure lasting quality.
